Two people went to prison on gun charges in connection with the case. A number of other people gave up stolen property and/or supplied information and weren't charged. For a book theft, the law enforcement response has been quite robust and continues today, 30 months later.
That bright yellow redacted sticker and the outcome for brain challenged ( better described below by Mr. Van Horn Jr.) thief and seller, somehow give me hope for other printed materials so far unreleased. But back to this captivating story, you must write a book about this. At least I do hope you will.
There's a pretty good chance that the seller of The Stand didn't get arrested. A lot of times the cops will let people go if they give up information--like who the book was sold to. So the seller got the $$ - so it may have worked out ok for him in the end.
